During the second quarter of 2023, the top five social apps in Algeria showcased notable trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. This data, provided by Sensor Tower, highlights the ongoing popularity and engagement with these platforms.

Facebook Lite from Meta Platforms, Inc. saw a varied performance. Weekly revenue peaked at $369 in early May but then settled around the $100 mark by the end of June. Weekly downloads started strong at over 545K in late March but gradually decreased, ending the quarter at approximately 196K. Weekly active users remained consistently high, hovering around 21M throughout the quarter.

TikTok maintained a robust presence with weekly revenue ranging between $2.9K and $3.7K. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at 325K in early May before settling around 216K by the end of June. Active users showed a significant upward trajectory, increasing from 5.1M in late March to nearly 5.9M by the end of June.

Instagram experienced moderate revenue growth, with a notable peak of $30 in the last week of June. Downloads saw a decline from 264K in late March to 151K by the end of June. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 7.3M and ending the quarter slightly higher at 7.6M.

Weekly downloads varied, peaking at 92K in early May before stabilizing around 50K towards the end of the quarter. Active users showed a gradual increase, starting at 616K in late March and reaching 665K by the end of June.

Likee - Short Video Community had fluctuating revenue, peaking at $110 in mid-April. Downloads increased from 33K in late March to a peak of 58K in mid-June, before ending the quarter at 33K. Active users showed a slight increase from 177K in late March to 190K in mid-June, before settling back to 179K by the end of June.
